The Hario V60 is a true classic — simple, stylish, and perfect for brewing one beautiful cup at a time. It’s quick, clean, and brings out the best in your coffee. Here’s our easy step-by-step guide to help you make the perfect V60 brew at home.

You’ll Need:

  • Hario V60 dripper & filter paper
  • Mug or server
  • Grinder
  • Scales
  • Kettle

You’ll Use:

  • 15g coffee (medium grind, like sea salt)
  • 250ml hot water (around 94°C)

How to Brew

  1. Prep: Pop in your filter, rinse it with hot water, and pour away the rinse.
  2. Add coffee: 15g of freshly ground coffee — give it a little shake to level it out.
  3. Bloom: Start your timer and pour 30g of water to wet the grounds. Wait 30 seconds.
  4. Brew: Slowly pour the remaining water (up to 250g total) in small, gentle circles.
  5. Wait: Let the water drain through — around 2½–3 minutes.
  6. Enjoy: Swirl your cup or server, sip, and smile.

Pro Tips:
Too bitter? Try a coarser grind.
Too light or sour? Go a little finer.
